Class Profile
Sports Broadcasting
This course builds on the prerequisite classes: Adobe Photoshop and Video Production class with Dr. Smith. A background in (English writing) sports journalism and/or photographer skills is a bonus for consideration. Students in this course will write and produce six sports highlight packages a year. They attend sporting events, record the games, and interview players and coaches to create highlight stories. Students also produce several live events with play-by-play announcers, color commentary, and possible sideline reporting. The program is a high school version of ESPN. Also, the highlight packages are used for the sports segment in our daily
